Security and Access Technician
EVCO Integrated Solutions has been installing fire and security alarms for over 50 years and is a great place to work. We take pride in our long-term employees, stable employment history, and the potential for advancement.
We are actively seeking Security and Access Technicians to join our growing company. Technicians will work with innovative technology in access control and biometric systems, fire alarm systems, IP CCTV surveillance systems, and intrusion detection systems.
Pay and Benefits: EVCO Integrated Solutions provides employer paid healthcare, optional dental insurance, and long term disability with healthcare. We also provide up to a 4% match 401(k) with profit sharing component. Employer paid iPhoneX or Samsung Galaxy6 phone, laptop, and tablet. Employer provided training. Technician hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $40.00 an hourdepending on experience with significant over time availability.

Duties & Responsibilities: Install all necessary cabling, including extensive fishing in walls, crawl spaces, and attics. Conduit work as needed for jobs. Create and maintain drawings and accurate documentation on installation paperwork for all systems. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to speak effectively when demonstrating and training customers. Must work well with coworkers and subcontractors of other trades. Must have ability to solve problems as they arise. Aptitude to learn new technology as it changes. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs. Extensive step ladder work; occasional extension ladder and scissor lift work. Work in commercial and residential settings; occasional exposure to weather conditions. Jobs occasionally require some travel, overtime and overnights.
Requirements: Clean criminal record. Have valid driver's license with good driving record. Follow all company safety rules. Maintain professional appearance with good hygiene and appropriate dress. Be on time and alert, careful, conscientious while working, thoughtful and considerate of others, courteous and helpful when dealing with customers and other EVC) employees.
Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or two years or more of related experience; or combination of education and hands on experience. Knowledge of electronics, electrical construction, power and hand tools and multimeter. Knowledge of computer hardware and software; network basics such as switches and routers.

Apprenticeship Program
EVCO Integrated Solutions offers a Washington State approved apprentice program. This is a full-time paid apprenticeship program dedicated to providing a well-rounded training experience and an opportunity for a lifelong career.
Our Low-voltage Technician Apprentice program consists of 6,000 hours of on the job training and 144 hours per year of related supplemental instruction.
Regular wage progression is earned with satisfactory progress through the apprenticeship.
Minimum Qualifications:
Age: Applicant shall be at least 18 years of age
Education: High school diploma, certified high school equivalency, and/or a technical electrical Associates Degree.
Physical: Apprentice applicants must be physically capable of performing the work of this trade, with or without a reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of individuals or others.
