Since the performance is critical, Gonzaga worked with EVCO Integrated Solutions.
In 2019, the Gonzaga Myrtle Woldson Theater was opened on the campus of Gonzaga University with a state-of-the-art audio and video system installed by EVCO Integrated Solutions.
The 52,000-square-foot facility includes spaces for performances, rehearsals and instruction for the Music, Theater and Dance Departments, as well as a multi-disciplinary design studio and expansive lobby.
EVCO provided an advanced Symetrix® digital audio distribution system for comprehensive Dante® audio routing throughout the facility. Motorized EAW® line arrays serve the main theater, with Innovox® hybrid line arrays used in the recital hall. Two Yamaha® digital consoles provide a high-quality mixing experience for system operators. A fully-integrated Blackmagic Design® video routing system delivers high definition SDI video throughout the facility to a variety of Samsung® flat panel displays and a 16,000 lumen Panasonic® projector in the theater.
Additional system features include comprehensive audio and video recording studio hardware, facility-wide RTS production intercom, zone paging system, wired and wireless Extron® control system, and Listen® assisted listening system.
